# seshlite > seshlite is a free macOS app that puts every AI agent session you've had into Spotlight. Press ⌘ Space, type `ses`, press Tab, type a few words, press Return, and you're back in that session: in the terminal tab where it's still running, in the desktop app it lives in, or in a fresh terminal tab in the right folder with the agent's own resume command. Site: https://seshlite.app · Version: 0.1.0 · Platform: macOS 13 or later (Apple silicon and Intel) · Price: free ## What it does - Indexes sessions from 19 AI coding agents into macOS Spotlight (CoreSpotlight): title, project folder, git branch, agent, date, and the first and last prompt. - Search in Spotlight by title, folder, branch, agent name, or words from the conversation. Raycast and Alfred are supported too: the setup window adds a Raycast extension (local, not from the store) or an Alfred workflow (keyword ses), both backed by the same app. - Reopens the picked session in the right place, checked in this order: (1) the terminal tab where it's already running, on any Space, including a tmux or Zellij pane; (2) the desktop app it lives in (Claude Desktop, the Codex app, Cursor, VS Code, the GitHub Copilot app, Antigravity, Goose Desktop, the OpenClaw Control UI); (3) a new tab in the frontmost terminal, in the session's folder, running the agent's resume command. - Never resumes a session twice: a running session is focused, not restarted. - Keeps the index current with a background job that runs every minute (a macOS Login Item that can be switched off). ## Supported agents (and the resume command seshlite runs) - Claude Code (Anthropic): `claude --resume `; sessions that live in Claude Desktop reopen there - Codex (OpenAI): `codex resume `; sessions from the Codex desktop app reopen there - Cursor CLI: `agent --resume=`; Cursor IDE chats reopen in Cursor - GitHub Copilot CLI: `copilot --resume=`; VS Code and GitHub Copilot app sessions reopen there - OpenCode: `opencode -s ` - Gemini CLI (Google): `gemini --resume ` - Antigravity (Google): `agy --conversation=`; app and IDE conversations reopen there - Pi: `pi --session ` - Qwen Code (Alibaba): `qwen --resume ` - Kimi Code (Moonshot AI): `kimi --session ` - DeepSeek Harness (`dsh`): `dsh headless --session-id -` - ZCode (Z.ai / GLM): `zcode --resume ` (the CLI distribution built from zai-org/ZCode), or the headless bundle inside ZCode.app - MiniMax Code: `mcode --session ` - Mistral Vibe: `vibe --resume ` - Hermes Agent (Nous Research): `hermes --resume `; sessions from its Telegram, Discord, Slack and other gateways are shown with their origin - Goose (Block): `goose session --resume --session-id ` - OpenHands (All Hands AI): `openhands --resume `; Agent Canvas conversations open in the local GUI - OpenClaw: `openclaw tui --session `; sessions last used from the Control UI open there in the browser; channel sessions (Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp…) are shown with their origin - Crush (Charm): `crush --session `, run in the session's project folder ## Supported terminals Terminal.app, iTerm2, Ghostty, WezTerm, kitty, Warp, Alacritty, cmux, Hyper, Tabby, Rio, and tmux or Zellij inside any of them. ## Install Download seshlite.dmg from https://seshlite.app, drag seshlite to Applications, open it once. The app is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized. Requirements: macOS 13 or later, Apple silicon or Intel. ## Privacy seshlite reads your agents' history files and writes Spotlight entries on your Mac. It never connects to the internet: no account, no telemetry, no update checks. A setting keeps prompt text out of Spotlight. Removing seshlite removes its Spotlight entries. ## Permissions it asks for Automation (to control your terminal and open a tab) and, for terminals that can't create a tab any other way (Terminal.app, cmux, Hyper, Tabby, Rio), Accessibility. iTerm2, Ghostty, WezTerm and kitty don't need Accessibility. ## Common questions - How do I resume a Claude Code session on macOS? Press ⌘ Space, type `ses`, Tab, then part of the session's title or project, then Return. seshlite jumps to the tab if it's open, or runs `claude --resume` in the right folder. - How do I find an old Codex, Cursor or Copilot session? Same: search in Spotlight; seshlite indexes all of them together. - Does it work with tmux or Zellij? Yes, it selects the tmux window or Zellij tab and the pane, and focuses the terminal tab showing it. When the front terminal has a Zellij session attached, new sessions open as a Zellij tab in it.
